Barde, fermier et homme à femmes, Robert Burns est l’un des personnages les plus emblématiques de la culture écossaise. Mais ce célèbre poète du XVIIIe siècle est aussi connu sous le nom de Robbie Burns, fléau du Mal et chasseur de sorcières assermenté ! À l’aide de sa plume, de son sabre et de son mousquet, ce super-héros du romantisme parcourt les Highlands et les tavernes d’Édimbourg pour traquer les démons et autres créatures maléfiques et faire régner la justice. De ses aventures, il puise l’inspiration pour ses poèmes et chansons.

Gordon Rennie et Emma Beeby, scénaristes écossais, ont réinventé l’histoire du « fils favori de l’Écosse » en se basant sur la structure de l’un de ses plus célèbres poèmes : Tom O’Shanter. Aux pinceaux, on retrouve Tiernen Trevallion, l’un des dessinateurs de comics les plus prometteurs d’Angleterre.
